Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year and Cross-Country season at Desert Vista High School!
Open practices for this school year will begin Thursday 7/23/2026 at 5:29 a.m. at the Desert Vista Track. We practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday in person, and athletes are expected to run on their own on Friday mornings. Everyone planning on running this season is expected to be at practices beginning Thursday 7/23/26.
The Official Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) season begins Aug 3. At that time, all athletes are required to be registered and fully cleared in order to participate in practices.
If you are not in the StudentSquare or ParentSquare Groups for "Cross Country - Girls" or "Cross Country - Boys", please let Coach Shearer or Coach Hancock know asap.

Thursday - @ Desert Vista (showers available after zero hour. We can arrange earlier showers before zero hour if coordinated with Coach Shearer or Coach Hancock)

Team Building Events:
Participation in team-building activities is completely optional and not required for membership or involvement in the Ahwatukee Track and Field Club or Desert Vista High School athletics. These events are not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Ahwatukee Track and Field Club, Desert Vista High School, or the Tempe Union High School District. All costs associated with participation are the responsibility of the athlete and their family. Athletes must arrange their own transportation to and from these events.
**Sprit Wear Stores are a booster fundraising event. Athletes are not required to purchase swag.
